Peter Falk turns in a sensitive, tour-de-force performance as Rocky Holzcek, a cantankerous Pittsburgh baker who, well into his advancing years, is forced to move in with his medical student grandson, Michael (D.B. Sweeney), whom he raised since childhood. The pair's up-and-down relationship is followed over the course of many years as they face life's trials and tribulations together.
